Seaside Child Development Center
We are obligated to protect all of the children in our care. We are required to report all communicable diseases such as lice, strep throat, chicken pox, mumps, influenza, measles, staph infections, TB, Hepatitis, etc. weekly to the Board of Health. In the event of any known potential exposure to a communicable disease, we will provide you with a written notice the same day.
If your family is affected by any of these or other communcable diseases, YOU MUST REPORT THIS TO US--NOT ONLY FOR THE SAKE OF EVERYONE ATTENDING THIS CENTER, BUT ALSO FOR EVERYONE ELSE EXPONENTIALLY ASSOCIATED (e.g., each family has a family, co-workers, etc.; hence the term "communicable disease").
You must report exposure to us even if the situation involves a household member who has no direct contact with the center (e.g., an older child or other member who never comes to the center). Failing to relay such information could lead to a widespread outbreak not only for our children, but also for our staff and force us to close unnecessarily.
