Seaside Child Development Center

Illnesses and communicable diseases

YOUR CHILD MAY NOT ATTEND THE CENTER WHEN ILL.

THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY.

YOU MUST HAVE A BACK-UP CAREGIVER.

PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR THE EVENT THAT WE WILL TURN YOU AWAY AT THE DOOR IF WE SUSPECT YOUR CHILD IS ILL.

Please understand that despite your child's illness, you are still charged the same tuition due to the fact that we are reserving your child's spot for return when he or she becomes well.

If your child has been ill, he or she may NOT attend if they have had any of the following within the previous 24 hours: vomiting, diarrhea, fever, obvious respiratory infection--including green discharge. If your child has had to see a physician with the last 24 hours for any illness, he or she may NOT attend until 24 hours HAS EXPIRED from the time of seeing the physician. If this is unclear, please ask for clarification.

Please understand that this policy is to protect the well-being of ALL of the children as well as ALL of the staff. A single outbreak of influenza, for example, could shut the entire center down indefinitely, so please be courteous to others.
